On the occasion of Autumn Contemporary 2016, Sala Santa Rita in Rome presented a personal exhibition by Alessio Deli, from 12 to 26 November 2016.
A mysterious encounter between different epochs and styles, in an installation that works on memory and nostalgia in which a cycle of recent sculptures fuses classicism and avant-garde. Deli thus intervenes in the suggestive spaces of the church of Santa Rita by making dialogue with the baroque plant with the plastic appearances of works that evoke Renaissance memories and elements of strong contemporaneity in the mystery of a lost sacredness and linked to the splendor of female figures.
On the occasion of the exhibition, a catalog of Tored editions was published with a text by curator Lorenzo Canova and with an unpublished poem by Marco Lodoli inspired by Alessio Deli’s works.
